Under kitchen cupboards to monitor for any leakage have 2 on absorbent mat so if a drip mat will absorb and before damage is done from a small drip you find out ( Don’t forget to do routine test and battery swap)

Twice I have had water leak downstairs to my neighbour when my kitchen sink blocked and my washing machine pushed the water out overflowing the sink, I purchased this as a precaution and can get on with other chores when the washing machine is on, it does exactly what it says a loud noise when water touches it.

A very high standard of workmanship including some of the best hand soldering I have seen for a time. Inspires confidence. Choice of battery suggests research.Device works well and alarm signal is distinctive, loud but not so loud as to cause distress. Strong plastic case with a sealing ring. You need a slimline PZ0 screwdriver to access deep set screws. Advise mark case with dab of marker to aid re-assembly. Probably best to open case to remove battery insulator. Strong cardboard packaging. Worth the money.

Buyer beware! I bought three and none of them worked. Rubbish!

I have a slow leek from my water heater that I am waiting on my landlord to fix. I do not want to turn off my water as it is going to be over a week till he can send an engineer but I do not want to damage anything. This device is great. It warms me if the tank has started to drip and let’s me know if the bucket under it is being over filled. While I am turning the water off while out this means I can have my water on to have a shower etc and don’t have to constantly check on the tank at night when it is heating up; the alarm is loud enough to wake me.

I've had a number of leaks and been lucky to catch them before too much damage was done, however it's only a matter of time before my lucks runs out. So I got six of these, they are very nicely designed, they float, when they get their feet wet the lights flash and they make a loud noise. Perfect.Of the six one did not make any noise, the seller was very good and refunded me for it so no problems. However if you get one and there is no noise it's broken. I briefly checked why it was broken there is a black three pin component that looks like a capacitor on the back but is probably a transistor. Using a multi-meter and doing a continuity test revealed this has an open loop, working ones don't and completing the circuit when lights where flashing generated a beeping noise. So this component likely has failed.

The media could not be loaded. Wasn't sure this would be as good as advertised. However upon first test it seems great and definitely will help identify any early leak or damp signs.Alarm is not quite as loud as a smoke alarm more like a loud ring tone.
