Pleasantly Surprised!
Finally a double sided heavy glossy photo paper stock that not only prints beautifully on my Canon Pixma-200 but also did not smudge and did not crater when it came to moisture! The stock itself resembles a 3 mil lamination, so how does it take to a Scotch 3 mil pouch lamination? Beautifully!I kinda wish the Koala Brand folks would update their consumer videos to match the Koality of their product. Even the packaging has a funky translation which made me kind of leery until the first side of my project printed and then I was delighted.I dampened a tissue and my ink did not smudge or budge. Did a print then cut on a Cricut and my double sided cards look great but have a slightly rubbery finish.

Gorgeous prints
Things to like, things to pay attention to.First off (and most important), this paper makes gorgeous prints. Exquisite details, beautiful color, Handles flawlessly. Heavy stock, no doubt archival quality.Things to pay attention to: surprisingly, Koala does not offer ICC profiles, which are printer/media specific, but not all printers print colors the same way in their "native" states, and even then, will render color and detail differently on different papers. So the first thing I did when I got this stock was to pull out the trusty Datacolor Spyder and make an ICC profile for this stock. And so my prints are spectacular.Only downside: of the first 14 pages I printed, two had slight smears. I'm printing with an Epson EC-8550 and using Epson Eco Tank ink. Could be the ink, could be a hiccup in feeding (double-sided glossy), won't now until several hundred prints down the road. I like the way my prints render on the double-sided stock so much, that I have ordered some single-sided heavy stock (for framing vs. booklets). My first and very satisfying outing with Koala. Since most of the premium photo stock paper producers offer ICC profiles for a wide range of printers, I was surprised that Koala does not. OK, the Datacolor Spyder that you use to make an ICC profile is not free, but it talks only about ten minutes to make a custom ICC profile with the Spyder. You print a target, scan it with the Spyder, Datacolor creates the profile, and even puts it into the correct location for your printer. Making the ICC profile for your new stock is just part of the process.OK, one more step. Most print routines suggest you use color management as determined by the app (Photoshop, Affinity Photo, InDesign, Affinity Designers, etc), so you have to change the color management when you print - to Managed by Printer, and then select the specific printer/media ICC profile. OK, that's what the pros do.Be a pro.
