Compared to all other umbrellas I have ever seen or used, this one is really heavy duty in construction. It is heavy to hold, comparatively, but not too heavy to make it a hindrance to hold. The real wooden handle is substantial, and a great size even for a female hand. The actual material is heavy weight and well-stitched. Yet, it is the inside mechanics that truly blew me away. The main structure is simply impressive in design and construction. I haven't had a chance, luckily, to take it out in a good rain/wind storm yet, but I can only imagine the way it looks that it will hold up well. Major perk is the up button also makes it close up with a touch of the button. This is By Far the best umbrella I've ever owned. So happy I splurged a little when buying a new one as I tend to go through the cheaper ones at about an umbrella a storm or two.

Used this for the first time yesterday and i was very happy. Open and close with a button push. Super easy and it held up very well in the light wind. A little on the heavier side but i suspect that is because of the handle which i wouldn't trade for anything. Very nicely sculpted and contoured to fit the hand nicely.

Much more robust than typical budget umbrella,seems very well built,Opens and closes easily and reliably. Not so that heavy and very compact,I'm VERY impressed with this Umbrella,Used it while walking in strong buffeting wind, that endeavored to take umbrella out of my hand. It did not turn inside out as most do. It would shelter two average sized people as seens the normal size- yet it is compact & light for hand bag, works perfect every time.

This is a great automatic umbrella with very elegant appearance and high quality materials. The wooden handle gives it a luxurious feeling and I can easily grab it (I'm a girl with relatively small hands). The umbrella is not heavy and I carry it almost every day in my back pack now for the ongoing rain season. I love that I can open/close it with one hand and it feels very sturdy. Definitely a must-have!

the wooden handle really gave it the best look. it was kind of hard to close but all it all it’s a good umbrella. the only complaint was that after a couple of uses, the wooden handle and the umbrella stick started wobbling and be cane started to feel like it was loose.

I am not a huge fan of umbrellas and rather just walk in the rain, however with really heavy rain this was perfect. It opens and closes with just a button which makes for easy on the go situations without delay. It is built well and now stays in my car for any storm. Definitely would buy again.

To be honest the umbrella looks very nice in the product picture. But the problems started when the product arrived, it arrived in nylon bag that is ""glued"" to the wooden handle!!, it may be the worst packaging I have ever seen for a product. You can see the pictures and decide for yourself ( and the other side of the nylon bag has the barcode and "Ready to Ship" label).I tried to open it and it opens in a strange position most of the time as shown in the picture and it has to be manually adjusted.Lastly there's a note that promises monetary compensation for a 5 star review, which is just wrong.In short I do not advise buying this product and looking elsewhere, I will probably return the product as soon as possible.

I bought this for my trip to London and I’m so glad I did. Works as stated in product description and it’s a great price. Check weight and measurements to make sure it’s what you want. It’s not bulky to me but it’s not as small as compact travel umbrellas I’ve seen but it certainly is the best umbrella I’ve ever purchased!
