This arrived promptly, well packaged and included a short but useful Firewire cable. No instructions, but they are not really needed.It did not work at all in my Win8 PC when I tried to run it without a power connection (PC would not even boot up). There is a four-pin 'Molex' connector on the board, and if you have a compatible spare connector on your PC's loom, with sufficient cable slack to reach the installed card, this will not be a problem. However, my PC had no spare power connectors available except for a SATA connection. So I had to nip out to Maplins and buy a SATA / Molex adaptor and a 6" male-female extension. The two external Firewire sockets are oriented sideways across the backplate, and consequently the apertures are hard up against the edges of the accessory slot on my PC. I was concerned that this might mean the cable's plug fouling the computer chassis, but it does connect ok.Now working fine, no driver installation needed, just shows up in the Device Manager and away you go.

Have this working with my 8 channel RME Fireface 400 AD/DA converter. Midi/USB on Windows 10 64 bit.It's been great.
