Q: Is this product suitable for an extractor fan that has 200mm diameter?

This cover is much larger than 8 inches. Unless you need to cover an unsightly wall, I would get a smaller one. The problem as I see it is that your 8 inch fan has to provide enough force to open the vents of a too large cover. It might be OK but I would only do it if you can feel a healthy airflow from your fan outside.
