Q: Does it lock on a jameson pole?

Never heard of a jameson pole! Also, it does not "lock" to my knowledge. The handle of this item is a hollow tube and contains screw threads. If you have a pole (from a broom, mop, etc) with male threads on one end, it will screw into the handle of this tool and maintain a tight fit.

Q: I bought this to wash RV windows but it seems to flip all over the place and not very steady ... am I doing something wrong?

The handle is tapered on the inside. Needs a tapered pole to fit snugly inside. I bought the Unger Telescopic Pole -91912C, SKU S3200664. Fits snugly inside the blue handle.

I had purchased an extendable utility pole from amazon. Basically, this tool attaches to the universal screw at the end of the pole. However, there might be a way to have it snap in place, also...don't really know
