If you’re looking for Cross ball point pen refills, look no further than these ! I bought some a few days ago that were supposed to be Cross, I made the mistake thinking they were US manufactured. They were made in China with the official label “Cross” when I received them, (2) by the way. These are made in Germany, or that’s what is printed on the package of 20. The ink quality I think is great, they write smoothly.

We are sadly living in the era of throw-away pens, when many of us can remember refillable, classy pens that you could keep and reuse by such makers as Papermate, Parker, and Cross. Such pens became old friends that you could use for years when refilled. When such pens became hard to impossible to find, their refills likewise became rare and ludicrously expensive. I purchased these ink refillables for several Cross pens I have. They fit the Cross Classic Century and the Century II perfectly with no issues and they were cheaper than some of the other refillables they had.

My pack may be faulty. I have to scribble furiously to start each refill and it works well for a few words. After that it begins to skip, I can't attest to longevity because I'm a little frustrated with the way the refills write. Unfortunate, because these refills have such good reviews! Perhaps I will try blue next time.
