Great for apartments or dorm rooms
I live in a single dorm room with my cat, Nova. She has the worst smelling poops to begin with, so nothing really worked. I tried baking soda in the litter, along with odor eliminator powder that you sprinkle on after they are done using the box, this rarely worked. As you can imagine, I live in a very small space, less than 100 sqft, with one pretty smelly cat. This air freshener makes my room smell like fresh air all the time. While you do have to press uncomfortably hard, and I mean hard, that is worth it for the payoff. I am not sure what the life is of the air freshener, as in how long it lasts, but I've had it for a few days now and the scent is just as strong as when I first opened it. I do want to preface, if you think you pressed it hard enough, you probably did not, press harder. That is really my only complaint though. The product is great and masks my kitty's pungent odor.

A big scent for a big stink!
This little thing works wonders! Anyone who says "it doesn't work" needs to push harder on the blue button until a pop/crack sound is heard. Then you'll smell a *strong* ozone/lime scent. As you can see, my little bathroom contains cat box, cat litter pail, and adult diaper pail. The adult diaper pail not only stinks when in use, but the plastic soaks up smells (yuk!). Those air freshener cones did nothing.I stumbled across the Odor Eliminator and thought "why not?". At first the febreeze smell overwhelmed everything - it could be smelled all through my tiny apartment - for 2 days. Eventually it calmed down and battled the bathroom odors. It's almost like the 2 Big Smells fought each other to a stalemate. Only when I forgot about a poopy diaper in the pail did I smell anything bad, but by that time the product was hidden under the weight of the bag (gross, I know). But removal of the bag got rid of the smell. Now even the cheap plastic of the bin is odor free!If you need to get rid of a big stink, get this.

This works well
We needed a long-lasting odor solution for the "cat room" with its litter boxes and the associated odors that go with them even when they are cleaned daily and litter replaced frequently. What attracted our attention was the touted long-lasting aspect of these air fresheners listed as up to 45 days. We had been using a different product that was much cheaper but did not work very well and was only somewhat effective for a week or two at best. We have had this in use for about three weeks now and it is working well. The clear capsule containing the active deodorant shows about half has been used since activation and unlike the other deodorant units we used the odor coverage and scent remains effective. So far we are very satisfied with this product.

Tough Enough for 2 Cats' Poo
We have 2 male cats, and we feed them high quality grain-free food. They LOVE poultry...problem is, it makes their poo STINK. I'm talking burn your nose hairs STINK. We can smell it on the next floor up it's so pungent. I was simply spraying the Febreze Air Pet Odor Eliminator before until I found the Febreze Small Spaces pods. They give off a constant fresh scent. At first, the Small Spaces scent was over-powering, and I wasn't too sure I liked it. It would be nice if you could dial it down a bit on those first few days after opening it. However, I've had them in the bathrooms with the litter boxes (we have 2) for nearly 4 weeks now, and they're still keeping the rooms fresh. Thankfully, the powerful scent has lightened and is more pleasant now. I believe these will last the 6 weeks that the carton promises. For the most part, I like these Small Scents pods. I like that they are not plug-in and that they come in their own stand-up holder. It is a shame that they are throw-away and not refillable (but they also do not have the mess that could come with having to refill them). The 4 stars is for the ALL or NONE scent - you cannot adjust the amount of scent being emitted which is too much for me at first. I may try putting it in the cabinet behind closed doors for the first few days when I have to swap them out.

Great for kitty stink
This is the best product I've tried so far. I have 2 elderly kitties who don't cover their messes and sometimes don't quite hit the box. In a small house, an uncovered mess can stink up the whole place! You have to push uncomfortably hard to pop the scent packet, but once you do, it works really well. It isn't exactly unscented, but it's a barely there slightly fruity scent that I can easily ignore in favor of not smelling cat box. I never smell anything now until I get very close to the office door where the box lives. For as long as I have elderly cats, I'll be ordering more of these.

Way too strong for pets! But good for other places in your apartment
I purchased these looking for a pet safe way to freshen up my kittens litter box, because often her poops are stinky and the smell spreads throughout her whole room. I got this hoping that it would be a subtle, non irritating scent to help with the smell, and by the way the room is pretty large. Even with the large room and a window cracked open, I found this scent to be way too strong for my kittens room; it's not an unpleasant smell but my intuition told me not to leave it in there, because if it was noticeably strong to my human nose, I can only imagine how it impacted a feline's nose. She didn't negatively react so I can't confirm that it's particularly unhealthy, but I think it's a good rule of thumb to keep animals away from harsh scents and perfumes. Since I already bought the 3 pack and didn't want to go through the trouble of returning them, I decided to place one in my open living room/kitchen and in a larger space it's actually much more pleasant, so I think this is how I'll use them for the time being. In conclusion, I wouldn't put these in a space where my animal lives, but I think they're fine in large open spaces where mainly humans reside but I wasn't able to use this product how I initially wanted to. I'd especially avoid this if your pet has particular allergies or sensitivities.
