Delicious!
You won't buy another brand of sardines after you've tasted the Nuri sardines! I grew up eating sardines & regularly have cans in my pantry. I watched a documentary about the Nuri brand and knew I had to try it. As soon as I received the delivery I opened a can of the sardines in tomato sauce. There was no strong fishy smell. The sardines are much larger than the common brands. The Nuri sardines are big, enough to share one can with two people. Nuri is now my one and only brand of sardines to eat. I am looking forward to trying the sardines in spices, lemon, and olive oil.

Sardines canned in tomato sauce - delicious!
If you’ve not had quality sardines canned in tomato sauce before, then you might consider trying these. They do not disappoint. These are straight tomato whereas this company, NURI, also makes them with tomato and peppers, plain olive oil, and tomato with peppers and something vegetable-or-rather. I don’t like the flavour or sardines married to hot peppers, but with tomato they are amazing. The olive oil pack is also good. NURI makes a sampler with a couple of each of their four flavours. Totally worth trying.

Taste great! But not worth the exorbitant price tag.
It's great but no different than King Oscar or Brunwick brand sardines. In fact, many Italian and hispanic markets will carry better ethnic brands that are better for a fraction of the price.Nuri is run by people and less machinery. I commend that and the price to accompany that effort. However, for those on a budget but want a tasty meal, there are other options out there. Particularly without mailorder.

Good
Personally I don’t think that they are bad but I feel like the sauce is a little bland. The fish was good tho it was firm. I have no idea what a sardine is suppose to taste like but I can compare the fish to mackerel

The best
The Portuguese and Spanish sardines produced by Matiz, Nuri and Amaro have to be the best. There is a reason why Portugal consumes more sardines per capita than any other country in the world. They do it the best. Spain does it well too as does Morocco.

Good taste and texture.
Good tasting sardines, a bit pricier than others, but as with most things in life- you pay for quality.

Pop's said" Good and Big
Sent these to my Korean War veteran father-in-law and he likes them very much. He prefers tomato or mustard packed vs the evoo. He said they are much bigger than what he is used to and there are too many to eat at one time. So, he is enjoying them very much!
