Works with old mouse and easily paired using ltunify under Linux
Sucessfully paired this with an old 2011 M505 laser mouse. I'd seen USB errors on the laptop (device not taking address) and thought it was the laptop that was at fault. On trying the old receiver in another machine, saw the same errors. So ordered this later version of the receiver. The M505 mouse is not specifically listed anywhere as compatible. But it works fine.Simple to pair the new receiver with the old mouse on a linux host with ltunify: `ltunify pair`. Turn on the mouse. `ltunify list`. All done.

Works Well, But Check Compatibility First
This Logitech USB Unifying Receiver performs great with devices that support it. However, be sure to check compatibility before buying—it’s not compatible with the K380 keyboard. If your devices are on board, it’s a reliable choice!

Quick and easy pairing
I purchased this USB Unifying Receiver as I had lost my previous one that came with my Logitech wireless Keyboard and Mouse (K450)The steps for making this work were super simple:1. Insert the Logitech Unifying Receiver USB in to my PC.2. Search Google for Logitech Unifying Receiver Software3. Choose which Operating System I was using.4. Download and install software.5. Follow the steps on the unifying receiver software to pair my devices. All in all, this took less than 5 minutes, and the USB worked perfectly. Plugging it into my laptop, it's tiny and does not stick out.I did subtract one star as I feel it could do with being a little cheaper. I highly doubt these USB's are expensive to manufacture and the price is elevated because you'll have useless devices without it.

Bit of a scam
Was using a mx key and Mx anywhere mouse. Logitech told me there was a firmware update but wouldn't work with Bluetooth. I bought this to complete the update. The update suddenly was not there. Thanks logitech! Also it wouldn't connect to the keyboard either. A bit rubbish

K400+ Keyboard
Works for my K400 plus keyboard, but had to download the Unifying Software as someone mentioned in a previous review.
