I struggled finding reviews that mentioned uneven surfaces such as my indoor stairs, and decided to gamble on this tape. It worked out perfectly! It stuck to the metal surface very well and hasn't shown any signs of coming undone despite the amount of dog hair in the house and the frequent vacuuming. The 4" width is just right for adequate traction. We also used it on a stepstool for the dog to get in and out of the car, and it's held up just as well with outdoor dirt and mud. I haven't subjected it to the rain or standing water, though.

I have a set of concrete steps that tend to get slippery when it rains/fog so I decided to give this a shot. Very user friendly. I had degreased and cleaned the steps before applying. Let it all dry out then I was ready to apply. I also used a torch on the steps before applying to see if it’ll give it a bit more adhesion when applying the grip tape. Cut out the lengths that I needed and started applying. After applying, I used the supplied roller to get out any air pockets and used a torch again on top just for sake of mind knowing that the adhesive should stick better. So far, still good and looks great. No more worrying about slipping myself or guests.

I bought this "tape" to put on my running boards on my truck in the winter. I was afraid I would fall when they were iced over. The tape has been amazing its been on about 7 months now maybe not that long and it's still stuck really good and you can't even tell thats it didn't coke like that. The texture is great. Overall I would purchase this again .

We used this tape last year on our deck where elevation changes. It is excellent, sticks to stained wood, glows in the dark, and maintains the strong grittiness over time.

Used this tape on a slippery staircase (laminate) and it worked great. Strongly recommend.I had a lot of trouble trying to pick which grip tape to buy so after reading (too) many reviews, I actually bought 2 different brands. This brand is definitely thicker making it feel more rubbery than the other brand while having similar clarity, so I ended up using this one.About the clarity of the tape: The material is clear but textured so it does have a slight white color. When the tape sticks, if there are bubbles underneath it will look more white. In my case, we put it down on very smooth flooring, so while you could notice the tape was there, I thought it looked fine and was clear enough. If you put this on something rougher, like unfinished wood, it's probably going to look less clear. Also in my case it looked a little better the next day, I think walking over it just pressed it down more.For stickyness it was about as sticky as I want. I don't think it will come off easily, but also if in a year from now I need to remove the tape, I won't be afraid it will peel of the finish on the floor. To test this I let the tape stay for a day on the floor and peeled it off. Not the most scientific test, but it made me comfortable using 2 rolls of this stuff on our staircases. I don't expect this would last a long time on an outdoor steps or rougher surfaces/unfinished wood, but I'm guessing that's where people are having issues with it coming off.

DON'T SLIP DOWN THE STAIRS! This super adhesive tape is great for preventing those nightmarish accidents. Cuts easily, peels and sticks to most surfaces.

I purchased this tape because it said it was waterproof. It works good but once it gets wet you can call it done. The grip came off easily after a good down poor which ruined the grip tape all together. Need to get some more to replace where I had this but will have to look for another brand.
