Works great
Just tried connecting my MacBook to my monitor with an HDMI cable via this and it worked fine. All USB ports are fine too -- would just have to keep in mind that these are USB 3.0 ports so if you try to plug in a USB 2 device, it could overpower it. In my case I plugged in an old laptop fan and it got louder than usual.The hub does get warm easily as well.
