Safe, Smooth, and Easy to Use – A Must-Have in the Kitchen!
I love this can opener! No more sharp edges or messy lids. It cuts cleanly along the side of the can, leaving smooth edges that are safe to handle. Perfect if you’re tired of the traditional openers that leave jagged metal behind. It feels sturdy and well-made, with a solid stainless-steel build and a comfortable grip that’s easy on the hands. The handle turns smoothly, and I didn’t need much effort at all—even with tougher cans. It's great for everyday use, and I imagine it would work well for anyone with hand or wrist issues too.Overall, this is a great kitchen tool that works exactly as described. I highly recommend it for home cooks, chefs, or anyone looking for a safer, easier way to open cans!

Works great for normal and small cans, doesn't work on the larger cans
This works great for normal and small cans, and is particularly useful if you have pet food cans and can top savers, as you may use a can for 1-3 pet meals and having zero sharp edge is great.Details: So there are directions on the box and inside on a leaflet for the opener. When it does its thing, you'll see most canned items actually have a smooth metal collar on the rim of the can, and then a second lid goes around that metal collar. This opener removes only the lid, leaving the inside collar intact. The end result is no sharp edges. Also it locks into place once you start opening the can so you don't use any grip strength to hold the opener onto the can. You'll have to hold the handle with one hand, and turn the knob with the other, but if you have reduced strength this doesn't require you to keep tension on anything between turns of the opening knob. The only drawback is if you happen to use the large 144oz cans (think cafeteria style to feed out 16 cups of whatever was in the can) this won't work for it. The larger cans have a much thicker lid/collar that this opener just cannot quite get ahold of and bend effectively to open the can. For those large cans you'll likely have to stick with the traditional piercing (wedge or wheel) type openers.

Cuts like butter and no sharp edges!
Ok, it’s a can opener. But it’s not your mamma’s can opener from the 30’s. It’s sleek, easy to turn, convenient, and rounds the edges smooth. And just when you ask yourself “did this even do anything?”, there’s a little bird beak mechanism that grips an edge to assist you in removing the lid. It’s the most functional, lightweight, quality tool in my kitchen.

Good for those with arthritis or muscle weakness
Bought as a gift for my sister with MS who had trouble with regular can openers and her muscle weakness. She didn’t want an electric one and so we tried this and it’s very easy for her to turn on any size can and she loves that the lid isn’t sharp and can be set back on tight enough to store unused portions in the fridge for dog food.

Mad Max Needs One
What does Mad Max have to do with a can opener you ask? Besides dating myself slightly, if you have seen the movies you know a must have, every day carry item for the apocalypse, is a can opener. After all, how will you open up the only remaining food when the time arrives! Never mind that he was sharing his trusty companion's food. All kidding aside, everyone needs a can opener. I am old fashioned and always used the traditional hand crank can opener, until recently. My wife tends to temporarily misplace items. The can opener was no exception. For that reason, I always have a spare. Enter the search for a better can opener.I found this product here on Amazon and was encouraged. It proposed a quantum leap in the can opening experience. I decided to give it a try and cannot be more pleased. It is still a hand crank experience, but without the sharp edges. I speak from experience and know I am not alone when I say I am very careful when dealing with the lids on open cans. That is, until now! This opener is easy to use and works like a regular opener. The difference is that instead of a jagged metal lid and can edge, waiting to hurt you, the lid is easy to remove and there are no jagged edges. Rejoice! Your fear of being cut has been abolished.Yes, I cut a finger or two long ago and yes, I have opposing thumbs, so I learned not to cut myself again. I used to get a butter knife from the drawer to pry the jagged lids open. I no longer have to soil an extra utensil and the cans are safe for the family and for the trash bag. Don't you hate it when a can lid tears a hole in the garbage bag and leaves a trail of trash, just like those commercials.Buy one to use and a spare in case someone loses the first one. You may need them one of these days.

Better can opener
Got this to replace an older can opener that finally wore out.Pros1. Very ergonomic design2. Easy to grip and rotate3. Cuts a clean smooth cut with no sharp edges.4. The grabber safely removes lids with no problem.Cons1. Unlike traditional can openers, you have to rotate the can twice.First time indents the can, second time actually cuts the can to give you a clean smooth cut.2. Using the lid gripper does take just a little practice. The cons are merely a learning curve to learn how to use a much safer can opener.Would definitely buy again.
