A versatile USB dac and Amp
Sound Quality is very good and Amplification is better than what I get from my phone.I like the fact that it requires a separate usb connector to device, this means that I can plug it to different devices with different connectors.More importantly if the USB cable is faulty it can be replaced. I have had some USB DACs that have failed on me because the connector gave out even though the DAC itself was still functional.I will update my review in the future -- have had this device for almost 3 months. if it fails within a year and a half I will update review. But so far seems to warrant a 5 star

Great sound with some shortcomings
I mainly use this with an iPhone Xs with UE Triple-fi’s. The sound improvement over the Apple Lighting to 3.5mm jack is very apparent. Can’t speak for the absolute accuracy but I couldn’t detect any degradation and from my understanding, the one provided by Apple is very accurate. The clear difference is the amp. The lower end is a lot more solid with the Naos. Bass notes and drums has more presence. Solid across the spectrum which makes it worth it.There are a few problems though. This thing sucks up power. I can have it playing music with the screen off at mid volume and it seems to drain the battery twice as fast. I have not directy timed and tested in comparison with the Apple adapter but it definitely eats up the battery at a faster rate.Another problem is the volume controls. Every other tick in the volume changes the volume. You can go from too quiet to too loud. There’s nothing in-between. It’s even worse on my MacBook Pro where it’ll skip 3-4 ticks. The last negative is the Lightning connector. If I connect it one way, it’s fine. Flip it 180 an it’s sensitive to wiggling on the port. I’ll get popping, static and some odd warping on a digital port. Not sure how thats possible.3.5 stars rounded up. :) Still worth it to me. Sounds great in a small package.Update 7/4/2019:The lightning connector has been acting up. The connection was never solid but it’s become worse. Music will stop playing often because the connection breaks from any slight movement. I’ve also noticed some of the contacts being dark. Not sure if it was like this when I first got it and it doesn’t look like they sell the adapter separately.Thought about getting the Apple lightning to micro USB adapter but I’ve read they don’t pass power. This is disappointing.

The smallest most portable DAC.
This thing is incredibly small and light weight. It's like the size of a small USB drive. I chose it over the Dragonfly because I wanted something that was really portable, as I travel a lot for work. The only other DAC I have experience with is with a dedicated sound card on my PC which was a Soundblaster X-Fi Titanium HD. This DAC cleans up the sound and makes things more punchy/louder if that makes sense. I'm using it with Phillips SHP9500S and Titdal Hi-Fi with .FLAC and .MQA. With Tidal Masters, this combo sounds incredible to my ears - just a pure joy to listen to. Note that I am not an experiecned audiophile, but I wanted to get something that would really sound great without breaking the bank. Between this DAC and the headphones I spent less than 300 and with .FLAC and especeially .MQA I am really happy with the sound.

Did nothing...
This did nothing for me. No discernible sound improvement, no boost is headphone volume, nothing. Sad as I waited a while to receive one and was excited to use.

The sound quality is quite nice considering the small size which is really small and compact. The power output is powerful enough for my AKG K712 Pro (62 Ohms). It has all the cables you probably need: lightning to micro usb, micro usb to micro usb..etc. One thing I miss is the DSD support. The area which I'd like to see some improvement is the noise floor seems to be higher than other DACs, even cheaper DAC from Fiio has much lower noise level, I can hear hissing noise with lower impedance (highly sensitive) IEM. Also it can become a bit warm, but not uncomfortably.

Great headphone dongle!!
I'm collecting audiophile stuff since 1999, and was using chord mojo, but due the size and charging time was driving me mad. The sound quality of this dongle its 90% of mojo with all the portable size and no battery concern. Its the perfect audiophile headphone amp for in ear monitors. I don't think its capable to drive a full size headphone, so if you want that, look elsewhere.

Love it, works great with my Motorola with USB C connector as well as my computer
I have a Motorola droid that only uses USB-C, so this DAC is perfect for me. It also comes with the Apple lighting connector as we all other connectors, so this is basically a "universal DAC". The sound quality is amazing, and the headphone output is very strong. Very happy with it, especially for the money. Using this with my phone (playing back WAV files), as well as my computer and it has significantly increased the audio quality of my music files.

Great while it lasted.
Broke on me about 2 years in with light use. Not happy about that.
