Anyone can do this by following instructions with a little patience and practice!
Not a techi guy, I had severe reservations that I could make this equipment work, but believe it or not, it is easy to manage.I recovered print photo slides from the late 50's and copied them into the computer. How else could I give life to writing my memoirs? It was a fun task with surprises—recalling emotions and experiences from 70+ years ago.

Perfect
Big relief to be able to get this film holder. The price is right and it’s exactly like the original.

It's fine
It's plastic like the original and it works, buying another one in the future so I don't have to switch out two negative strips every time when I can just have another tray with film ready to be scanned.

It works
This film holder is a direct fit in the Epson Perfection V600. There were no instructions, so it took a little fiddling to figure out the A, B, and C tabs, but once it’s fitted it seems so obvious. Line the tabs on the bracket to the mark on the left side of the scanner bed.I am happy with the way the film is held in the scanner, they are flat and straight on the scanner bed once the holder tabs are indexed in slots on the bed. That’s the important piece at the end of the day.The parts I don’t like are, the clips that lock the bits that hold the film down into the tray are a little fiddly. It takes a little massaging to clip back into place. I do not know what the original trays that came with the scanner were like in this respect so I can’t say this is any worse than the OEM part. I do know that the price difference between this film tray and the Epson makes me consider the minor annoyance to be something I can live with. In truth, it is not very aggravating, more of an observation.

Not a high quality product, but gets the job done
If you are looking for a solid replacement for the original tray for the Epson Perfection V600, this is not your best choice. As it was already mentioned by another reviewer, the two pieces were "stuck" together when they arrived so I had to carefully pry them apart. The two pieces don't line up properly, even the most basic of its functions, accepting two 35 mm strips of negatives, it is a tight fit (too narrow) in some spots. As the title says, ultimately, it gets the job done and quite honestly, for $15, I shouldn't have expected much of it. I believe the original part sells for about $50, this product makes one understand the difference between cheap and inexpensive: this one is cheap.

This product DOES NOT fit my scanner as advertised.
Beside the locking pin on the side of the frame being warped, this product does not in any way fit the scanner and cannot be used with my Epson 4180 Scanner. The seller should physically verify which of their products are compatible with which model apparatus. The overall quality appears to be as good as the various frames that were included when I purchased my scanner. Too bad that it is not compatible with my model scanner as advertised.
