I have been using the green field viewer sheets for years, and they are great, but I was looking for something that made a clearer image. So I got some of these. And they are amazing! I thought they'd be good, given the reviews, but I assumed that the photos were faked. They aren't—you really do get different colors and a very striking pattern when you have an interesting magnetic field to make visible.The only downside is this: This film only works on really strong fields. Refrigerator magnets.... Nope. You need strong rare earth magnets to see a good effect. But if you have strong magnets and you need to make a striking visualization of their field.... This is a great tool for the job!

Reasonable price.Does exactly what it says it does.This magnetic indicator sheet isn't monotone, it really has a ferromagnetic oil defractive chamber layer. This gives you a good indcation of magnetic feild strength.A word of caution this mag-paper contains a fuild layer don't pinch it between magnet and metal. Never seen this be a problem but its good to know before you use these.

Good contrast. Works better removed from the cardboard. Can see stripes in refrigerator magnet rubber sheet. Resets or clears when removed from magnet. Works for checking abs sensor wheels. Can see different levels of magnetic strength.

Bought to use for engine diagnostics when check tone rings on camshafts. Great value and works great.

This is an excellent gift idea for kids, but is probably even more entertaining to some adults like me, lol. I love how the film returns to its original state as soon as you pull the magnet away. And I love the color changes that give you a little bit of an idea of field strength. The patterns you can get with this film are often very colorful and beautiful. It may seem a little pricey for a little piece of plastic, but wow is is ever worth it! Yeah, it's not quite the size advertised, but I have learned to accept some things like this because it seems unavoidable anymore. The functionality is so amazingly good that I cannot justify knocking a star off for that detail.
