This really works
I am trying to reduce noise in my car, because of a medical issue my wife has. I plan to line the wheel arch covers and perhaps some other panels in the car with this. So far i ma very impressed, its easy to work with, the adhesive lining is quite strong, and the deadening is very good. The effect on the car is quite noticable. i am impressed. If you want to deaden noise or vibration this is definetely worth a try.

No more B52 bomber in the back!
Wow what a product.I discovered these from a YouTube conversion video (the renovation couple) and I must say it has worked very well for me and is much better value than the pre cut pad alternatives. The item doesn’t come with any instructions with regards application or coverage. In our install we simply ensured the surfaces were wiped down. As for coverage we opted for shapes and sizes that optimised the use of the roll rather than aiming for total coverage.Whilst we haven’t finished applying this yet (still wanting to do the floor and around windows after install) the difference was dramatic. We went from not being able to have a conversation at anything other than stationary in the dry to being able to talk like we were in a car at motorway speeds. It seems like two rolls will be sufficient to cover an L2H2 Citroen Relay (aka Fiat Ducato/Peugeot Boxer) with quite a good amount of coverage and this could probably be extended to L3 or L4 if used sparingly. Finally, we bought a set of two rollers (link in the comment below) and these made install much easier particularly on the ceiling. My recommended application method is to peel back a reasonable section of backing and position in place using the roller to give a solid start. Hands can be used to do most of the work finding ridges etc with the roller being used at the end to crisp the lines and squeeze down the edges. It’s useful to have aluminium tape on hand if you manage to rip the tough but not indestructible aluminium coating.Don't worry if you make a mistake, change your mind about location or want to cut/drill through a covered location (definitely remove it before drilling or cutting as it makes a complete mess of tools if you don't... don't ask how I discovered that!). The deadening can be peeled off easily leaving only a minor residue (which can likely be cleaned off if the surface will be on show, we haven't bothered). We have removed some deadening about a month after the initial application with no issues.

A GREAT PRODUCT AND WORKS EXCEPTIONALLY WELL, GREAT FOR CAR RESTORATION OR VAN SOUND PROOFING!
WE USE IT IN A WORK ENVIRONMENT, AND SIMPLY IT DOES EVERYTHING AND MORE WE EXPECT OF IT. REMOVES ALL DRUMMING FROM METAL PANELS, AND WHEN USED ON THE INSIDE DOOR SKIN OF A CAR DOOR, IT TRANSFORMS HOW THE DOOR SOUNDS WHEN YOU SHUT IT. WE HAVE USED IT ON THE ENTIRE FLOOR OF MANY CARS WE HAVE RESTORED, THIS CREATES A GREAT BARRIER FOR SOUND AND HEAT, JUST REMEMBER TO ENSURE THE FLOOR IS CLEAN AND DRY FIRST, THEN WE USE A WALLPAPER WOODEN ROLLER TO PRESS IT DOWN WHEN IT IS PLACED. GREAT PRODUCT ALL ROUND.

As an ex-loudspeaker designer and box builder, I am use to using some kind of soundening material inside my cabinets.. for sure you can brace things up but extra sound deadening is worth it.I have used various branded names like Dynamat, Barrier Mat etc, and the fact is, when tested under lab conditions, they all more or less do the same thing (all other things being equal and size for size and thickness for thickness). So this stuff, really does do what it says on the pack. You do not want material that is so thick that it cracks when you bend it and if possible, is applyable at room temp.. in the past I would stick my pads in the oven and the rush them over to where they are gonna be stuck.. no need here.. but extra heat never does the application any harm as long as you know it is there and stuck for good.I like this stuff, the backing paper peels off easy, the adhesive is good enough to not need spray glue yet will peel back off if you made a mistake - that said, once it has dried down and left for a day or so, it is really hard to peel off without making a mess of things (which is good). At this price point, this is excellent value for money.. on my last car I used a different brand and it cost me approx 35% more money.. all in all, I am a happy chappie..

Does exactly what it’s designed for. Good quality product.
I bought 2 x 4.5 meter rolls of this to help noise deaden a camper van conversion. I’ve a H2L3 boxer and 2 rolls is more than enough. Just as the description in the Ad it has done a very good job of deadening the vibration and noise of the panels and roof. Well worth the money. Get yourself a roller though to help apply it and a hair drier to warn it up if applying on a British summers day i.e. cold. Edges are sharp so good gloves are recommended.
