Bought this as a gift. The recipient said it has a lot of charms and is chunky but lightweight. The chain is durable and just the right length so it falls on your neckline nicely. It has not tarnished or faded since we purchased it. We do not recommend wearing it to the beach or getting it wet. It seems it is best as a fashion piece. We even have starfish earrings to coordinate.
