Powder is great. Consistency is good and I find it mixes well. Suggest getting a shaker cup. Tastes great. I use this abd several other puori products. Appreciate the clean label project stamp, too.

I've lifted weights for a good chunk of my life, but fell off the wagon. Recently I started back up along with taking protein supplements. One day I stumbled across the "Clean Label" project as I was researching other products. I was amazed to find that the protein powder I had been taking for years (a well-known, name brand) had rated very poorly for BPAs (a known endocrine disruptor). Basically, this is a chemical commonly found in many plastics that is linked to cancer and developmental disorders.I was taken aback. This wasn't even the worst of all of the proteins. Some had neurotoxic mercury, lead, or even just didn't have the advertised amount of protein in them. Maybe I shouldn't have been too surprised - the entire supplement industry is not regulated by the FDA.So, I went onto the clean label project's list of best proteins, and found this: Puori's PW1 Vanilla Whey Powder. It was expensive...double what I paid for a 2lb jug of my previous, however you can't put a price on what you put into your body.The quality is great. It tastes excellent by itself, even better if you don't mind combining your shake in a blender with fruit (like bananas). It's vanilla - which means it's also neutral enough be combined with your favorite recipes for an extra protein zip. It blends well even in a basic shaker cup...not chalky, or clumpy like some others -- and yes, I've tried a lot over 15 years...I can count 20+ different brands off the top of my head...this is pretty good.I buy it though because it's been independently tested to have what it claims to, and NOT give me lead poisoning (it's funny we have to even say that, thanks Congress/FDA). I buy it because there are only 5 ingredients in it.My ONLY criticism besides the price is the lack of flavors. I would really like to see a banana cream version of this, so I don't have to spike my protein shakes with the sugar from actual bananas.Keep doing what you're doing Puori!

This protein powder tastes better than and other I have tried so far. There are some things to be aware of that are personal preferences, like how much foam it produces. Some may not like that it makes the protein shakes light and airy, however, I don’t mind it because it still tastes great. Also, the mixability is an issue unless you are using a blender. Stirring with a spoon or shaker bottle doesn’t break it up enough.Overall this protein is great because of its quality ingredients and taste. Just be aware of these other potential issues that are personal preferences but not deal breakers. Rating it a solid 4 stars!

If I read the reviews before buying I wouldn't have given this a shot. I found it through "Clean Label", this protein is one of the few that are transparent and qualify as Clean. ALSO, every time a friend tastes the way I make it, they go and order their own. BUT I mix it. So I use 100g of soy milk, a handful of frozen spinach, and a handful of strawberries. For my hubby I swap strawberries for frozen bananas, and it makes the BEST shake/ice-cream. People who love things super sweet can add a sweetener.

Really wanted to like this but disappointed. The ingredients are good. Pricey but expected given quality of ingredients and amount. Thought the other reviews were maybe being too picky but really doesn’t taste like anything and foams like crazy in a smoothie in a really unpleasant way- like drinking unflavored whipped cream. Do appreciate that there’s no unpleasant after taste from icky sweeteners and it’s not chalky but needs improvements. Trying to figure out how to choke down a huge bag of this without gagging but won’t be buying again.

What attracted me to this protein powder was the Clean Label Project rating. I've really been browsing their site and reading a lot of what they do and, I'd like to think, they are really only out there for the consumer. I don't do artificial sweetener or flavorings as much as possible, so I was looking for something that was super clean. I love that there are only 5 ingredients. The flavor is good, although faint. Tastes like watered down milk, but I've been using water. I could easily use soy milk and I'm sure it would be delicious. It's a little on the heavier price side for me, but certainly not as pricey as some powders that have way more ingredients and nasty things in it. I have a busy schedule, so I'm mostly using this after my workout and before I head to the next activity in the evenings. I'm not using it as a meal replacement, just something to help me repair and recover. Overall, I'm satisfied with it and I will more than likely reorder.

The manufacturer changed the formulation of the product without notice. It is now an ultra fine powder that is impossible not to inhale whilst handling the product. It’s so bad that it sets off my air purifier whenever I use it.I’m very disappointed especially since this cannot be returned even though the package is unopened. I had this on auto delivery and now am stuck with 2 unopened bags that can’t be returned. The whole reason for purchasing this brand is that it is supposed to be healthier than most. Not anymore….
