It's great, but be patient with the setup
I didn't start out liking it because the setup is a pain and I came close to giving up. Once you have updated the firmware through wifi, drive away from a wifi connection to finish setting everything else up. That was the key for me. Then it worked fine. Stays connected and is the helpful bump I wanted in a wireless connection for my android.

Works better than another device i tried
This Ottocast Android Auto Adapter A2Air Pro, for me, works 100% better than the Motorola MA1 Android Auto Adapter. The motorola was a bit of a chore every time I tried to use it. Always something I had to do to get it to work. This Ottocast, i haven't messed with it since pairing it. My phone connects seemlessly. I did have one or two times where I thought, hmmm maybe its time to restart the phone. But no, it just took a little bit longer to connect. For me, on a long drive with the phone mounted in the sun near the windshield being constantly plugged in to the car's USB port means the phone itself gets very hot. That was my primary reason for wanting to go wireless. Only plug in when I need to charge. What is a little puzzling is how this A2Air Pro listing says its faster than the basic A2Air. But the listing shows no difference in hardware specs. So ok, maybe they changed the programming. I bought the pro and i'm very satisfied with it.10th Gen Honda Accord HybridGoogle Pixel 7

Works perfectly in my 2018 Silverado
I have an Ottocast device for my motorcycle and enjoy the convenience and added safety it adds to my Suzuki V Strom. My 2018 Silverado has Android Auto and Apple Car Play capability as long as a phone is plugged into the designated USB port. Now, with this Ottocast wireless the system boots up Android Auto faster than the time it takes for the Duramax diesel to start. My Samsung found the Ottocast easily and bluetoothed as a favorite within seconds. My music begins streaming and hands free Google assistant is ready for commands before I can shift to drive. Tucks neatly in the center console shelf and no more fussing with plugging in my phone and a dangling cord to deal with. Especially convenient when running errands. Nothing not to like.I am very pleased and it is functioning as described. Good looking compact unit, too.

Had High Hopes
Wish it would connect but won't. Reached out to customer service for Ottocast which is in China so that doesn't help. Sending fast videos to try watch to help connect but nothing. Kept trying but just won'tconnect to my 2020 Chevy Silverado. Sent it back...

Best way to add android auto wireless
I had to admit I was skeptical of whether this would be worth the hassle to set up based on so many reported problems with older adapters. Glad I took the gamble as it turns out to work really well with both my phone and car (Sammy S20FE and 2023 Tucson).I was really bummed that my new car only hard the wired option with no plans to add wireless. Wired was too much trouble for short trips so basically ruined that functionality for me. Luckily this was as easy to set up as everyone says and has yet to have a hiccup.I will note one thing that is likely the same for native wireless, your phone is using all its wireless radios at once and will use more juice and get hotter than normal. If you are worried about all those emissions, well maybe keep the phone out of your pocket when using it for extended periods.

Buyer Beware - don't upgrade your phone
I purchased in April 2024. The product was great right up to the point I upgraded my phone to s25 Ultra. Product frequently crashes. Support stinks. Blames car. Blames phone. Blames Google. Everything works swimmingly hard wired. I have factory reset product multiple times. Wiped, cleared cache, reinstalled Android Auto. The associated app is junk. Ata firmware upgrade doesn't work.Buyer beware. If you have an older phone the product will be fine for you. Upgrade for phone = good luck.

Works Perfectly!!
Installed the Ottocast A2Air Pro on my 2023 Harley Ultra Limited. It connects to my S22 Ultra phone quickly every time I start the bike. With the water cooling taking up both front lower compartments there is no where to store the phone while plugged in to the usb. You do need a headset to use the voice commands and to search maps. I load a map location in Google on my phone before a trip then I can pull it up in recent locations tab on the bike screen easily. Minor inconvenience for me. Absolutely love it and it does exactly what I want it to do.

Simple and easy to use product.
This device works amazingly for what it is. Super simple to set up and works without any issues. However, as a cyber guy, I have 1 wish for the product. Add in a button to make it Bluetooth discoverable, instead of being always discoverable. Being always discoverable is a security risk... But nonetheless, the product works flawlessly and I'm loving it.
