Speed Running on the ATARI 2600
An excellent and challenging game.It has great visuals, likeable characters, and excellent level design.I think that it's one of the 2600's best platform games.

A Modern game fitting well with the classics.
For a modern game fitting the Atari 2600+ goes very well, the box itself reflects on the original style of the games and will sit nicely beside the classic boxes. The Cartridge itself comes in a sleeve looking like the box itself with its reverse saying "Atari" with the logo. Slide it out of the sleeve and you have the game itself again in the same style of the older games of the time. So the product looks great before you get to play but you're asking "does it play well?"Yes, this game plays extremely well and has the "flashing mobs" just like the first games with multiple monsters that couldn't add more without this work around, but it is not too much. The game is simple as you'd expect but challenge a real rage baiter, rage quitter a speed runner. Perfect for streamers to play and chat with their viewers, a group of friends around the TV before the days of the internet and even share it along with family try to beat each others top score or show off your skill and timing.Being the first modern game for the 2600+ this is a great game even if it never existed for the original Atari 2600 VCS

Great game, but doesn't work correctly on PAL hardware
I'd have given this 5 stars, but for one thing. It's an NTSC cart and if you're in a PAL region and try to play on original PAL hardware it will only work in black and white with a bit of an off picture. It's fine on my 2600+ so be aware if you're buying for original hardware.

Phenomenal Game. /|\
Playing this on a VaderFantastic game. Challenging but not frustrating. You'll die often but you restart the level as many times as the extremely long time limit allows. As you progress you'll be rewarded with new hazards and game mechanics, so the game never feels repetitive.I've played many 2600 games over the years and still do. This game has a real modern feel to it. It doesn't feel like a game crammed into 128 bytes. Instead it feels like a modern game with a minimalist aesthetic.Others have mentioned the flicker. Lots of 2600 games flicker. It's normal. I think the technique has been used artistically rather than out of pure necessity here and it gives a nice emphasis to the hazards. I like it.If you're new to the 2600, flicker is a technique used to allow more 'sprites' to be drawn on screen. The 2600 can only handle 2 players, 2 missiles and a ball. But by not drawing each one every frame, you can have more.It was nice to be able to buy easily from Amazon so avoiding costly shipping/taxes to the UK. Great to have Atari back selling new games. I hope that some of the Atari Age releases will be sold via Amazon in the future.

Mr Run and Jump Vs Elden Ring!
After playing Elden Ring for 649 hours, tired of dying constantly over and over, falling off cliffs and making dumb mistakes that got me killed by easy enemies I thought I would try something simpler and easier so I bought an Atari 2600+ and Mr Run And Jump... then I spent the next half an hour dying constantly over and over, falling off cliffs and making dumb mistakes that got me killed by easy enemies! After playing this excellent game today, I am now playing Elden Ring for a while to relax before I turn the 2600+ back on and try to get Mr Run And Gun further than the start of the 4th level and find out just where Leap the dog is heading to in the Dark Realm...

No Booklet in box.
Nice package I haven't tried game yet but I know it's a testing platform game, the main problem with this package no game manual, and that's why I collect these games, it has another version with a manual but I don't see it on here, so this is the only new Atari game I own that has no manual, I suppose that's why it's much cheaper than other Atari games.
