Solid Solar Generator
If you're in a market for a new portable solar generator using the latest LiFePO4 battery cells with 2000W output for your small appliances look no further! This is one of Jackery's latest Solar Generators with a built-in 1264.64Wh LiFePO4 battery cells with AC output x3 at 120V~60Hz, 2000W at 4000W peak. This is enough for most small appliances in your home. The generator also has USB-A x2 at 18W max at 3A and USB-C x2 at 100W up to 20V at 5A. This is enough to power a the latest USB-C laptops! The kit itself also comes with an expandable 1000W battery pack doubling your wattage to 1264.64Wh x 2 = 2529.28Wh. You also get two SolarSaga 100W Solar Panels for charging on those sunny days. The main benefit of LiFePO4 (LFP) cell batteries is the chemical allows for much higher density efficiency compared to the older lithium-ion batteries found on the older generation and most common type currently at a lower weight and higher operating temperature. The explorer 1000 plus is only 32lbs with an operating temp range of 14-113F compared to the older generation which maxed out at 104F. Another huge benefit is the longevity of these cells rated at 4000 cycles to 70% for up to 10 years lifespan compared to the old 1000 cycles to 80% of the old gen. If you're making such a large investment and putting these to daily use this will be a huge benefit. We bought this solar generator for road trips, camping and for power during expensive peak hours in Cali for the office room. Know the limitations of the 1000 plus and the devices you will be connecting to it! This does have the capability to run a 2000W appliance like our electric water kettle but you will deplete the battery within an hour! So the ideal use case for this specific 1000 plus is more for small appliances or small devices. We are able to run our macbook pros, LED monitors and a few mobile devices pretty much all day in the office if we wanted. We've also used the solar generator for some portable mini fridge/coolers during a recent road trip or just for those grocery trips. No this specific 1000 plus will not run a portable AC! Yes we tried using it for a 980W portable AC during the hot summer. But luckily it does have surge protection and will immediately shut off power when overloaded. More likely you will need at least a 2000 pro/plus to run your portable AC's.Note about using the expandable battery: It MUST be connected to your main 1000 plus to use and recharge! The expandable battery pack cannot be charged or used on its own. This would be great for future models! But at least with the quick charging capability over an AC outlet you can fully recharge in about 2 hours. The solar capability of this Power Station was a major selling point for us. With the included 2 SolarSaga 100W Solar panels you are able to charge your power stations anytime you have full sunshine. At peak with a fully sunny day we were about to get up to 148W out of the two panels. Yes it will take ALONG time, about 20+ hours to fully recharge your power station if you only have the included two solar panels. But you can upgrade and use up to 6 100W solar panels to get your 2 hour recharge time in perfect sunny conditions. Yes for optimal output from the panel they must be in direct sunlight and better on a cool sunny day. These panels will drop to 0W once they get in the shade or when not in direct line of the sun. The panels do have two foldable legs that extend to allow you to lay them at about 45 degrees. Although majority of the time I'd just lay them flat directly on the ground during peak sunlight hours to get the most output from 10am-2pm. The panels themselves also have built in USB-C inputs so you could charge your USB-C device directly on the panels. The included 8mm cords are permanently attached to the panels too. The cables are fairly short if you're trying to run them across the yard/patio you'll need to get extension cables. Note Jackery 8mm plugs need the adapter to attach to most after market cables since they are not recessed plugs. We got some 30ft cables to be able to leave the solar panels in the yard and run the solar generators in our office room. You can find plenty of them on Amazon. The Jackery 1000 plus also support Jackery's mobile app which gives full control of your main station at your fingertips. The app can be connected either through wifi to your home network or via bluetooth directly to your device. The app is great in monitoring recharging input especially when connected to your solar panels. When the watts drop or fall to zero you know its time to turn your panels towards to sun. But other great feature include having full control over every port on the station. So you can disable/enable specific ports in the app. This is great if you're trying to save power or shutting off a connected device remotely.Jackery's customer support is also top notch compared to many of its competitors in the battery generator sector. If you have any questions or support issues they are very responsive! Making an investment for equipment definitely is a bonus to have great support if or when questions come up.In Summary:The pros:-1264Wh/2000W Max output expanded to 2528Wh with expansion pack-LFP batteries increase operating temperature with less battery degradation-Ease of use and supported inputs for devices/appliances-Simplicity of the UI-App controls for monitoring over wifi or bluetooth-Quick Charging with wall charger-Light weight for portable carry and setup anywhere-Jackery Customer support is top notchThe Cons:-Expansion pack can only be used/recharged connected to main pack-Expansion pack has no built in output ports-Expansion packs aren't available to purchase separately yet-Included two100W Solar Panels take along time to recharge to be valuable for general use-Solar panels are only IP65 water resistant so NOT waterproof. Do not leave them in the rainOverall, the Jackery Explorer 1000 plus with expansion pack and solar panels is great for those looking for a portable power station for outdoor life, or backup for the small appliances during a power outage or just those trying to save on high electric prices during peak hours. It does have it's limitations but the pros still out weight the cons in our use case. But research and decide on the best kit for yourself. You can't go wrong with any of the Jackery offerings especially the new plus line!

Read ALL of the instructions
This is a wonderful device but you need to realize actually what you are getting - It comes with a manual with all of the information in very small print so download the manual from the website and print it out using "fit to printable area" matter of fact do this now before you buy it. Pictures show people camping outside yet the manual states DANGER This device is for indoor use only Do not use outdoor under any circumstances (paraphrasing when its damp or wet) If you charge this up outdoors using solar panels it may take 2 - 7 hours to charge it depending on how many solar panels you have connected and the sun. Therefore you need to make sure not even a sprinkle of rain happens - the solar panels are NOT waterproof nor is the Jackery device. The manual also states store device at 60 - 80 % charge - mine was delivered having a 32% charge hence it was being stored improperly. This also means you need to check it every 3 - 9 months according to the manual so therefore, this device is a delicate electronic device which needs to be properly maintained so this is a consideration before you buy it. The coolest thing I like a about it which isn't even mentioned that I could see in the manual is that it has a light on it in addition the light has a toggle to where it has one brightness setting using 1 watt another brighter setting using 2 watts and then an SOS setting using about 3 to 4 watts that would by itself seemingly last forever. Perhaps 10 days. So you could set this up leave a note on it and try to walk your way out hoping it does not rain on the unit. The manual also seems to state do not store it below freezing or above 77 degrees Fahren.. Also it must be charged above freezing so if its freezing or below and clear and sunny forgetabout it .. you can use it to power or charge something between 14 - 113 degrees... Again, read the manual for yourself so you know what you are getting into. Do not let the unit get upside down OR on its side. Ventilation must be maintained around it ... it has fans etc. Dropping a metal tool on the battery or something like this can cause a spark that could result in an explosion. This also means don't shoot fireworks near it. I only had the unit two days but wanted to put this review out there - I'm completely happy with it so far have tested some stuff works fine and even called customer support they are pretty decent. More info from having it a few days .... An old table lamp pulls about 26 watts or something so get some USB LED Lights Amazon of course has tons to choose from I now have a clamp light a bar light and a set of clear Christmas type lights these pull from 2 - 4 amps so that is fantastic. Get a small fan for it a box fan pulls around 46 or something smaller fans which concentrate the air and do just as well pull about half as much so they last a lot longer. A small fan will last say 36 hours. My big laptop pulls very little my full size desktop with router speakers and large monitor pulls close to my full size refrigerator so its gonna last only about 6 hours. The full size refrigerator is old it will last about 2.5 hours. It lasted much longer at full charge but I am factoring in this thing being pulled out of a closet and it is at 75% and the person using it does not run it below 25%.

Works fine, would purchase again. Good for camping w/CPAP.
Works fine, we are happy with it. My wife uses a CPAP (with humidifier). This gives her 2 1/2 nights when camping and using the humidifier function. It would likely last longer without the humidifier. Not so heavy that she can't get it in and out of the car. We've had it for several months and it does a good job of holding a charge while in storage. No regrets on the purchase. We wanted the get the updated battery with the LiFePO4 battery that provides more charge cycles.

Everything it is advertised to be.
The Jackery Explorer 1000 Plus kit is everything it is advertised to be. I have been able to do everything from fast charging a cell phone to running a 1,600 watt electric heater. I was able to get 197 watts from the two 100 watt solar panels on a 25 degree clear February day. A couple of things to note. The first time I charged the unit the input wattage was low until the unit warmed up from being in a cold delivery truck. The other thing is the unit appears to charge the internal battery to 99% before charging the expansion battery. It is a perfect solution for the van camping I wanted it for.
