Couldn’t find a way out of a paper bag
A lovely little unit. What a shame it did not work for me. All that came out of it was gobbledegook, with characters full of inflections and accents, reminiscent of a far eastern language. I tried it in a genuine UNO, a UNO R3, and even in an Arduino Mega, which omitted the software serial option. The results were all the same. Then I tried it with another sketch, guaranteed to work with any Arduino, and the result was the same as the Adafruit sketch. The Adafruit customer service is poor and the only way to get help is through their forum. On the forum was someone flagging up the same problem and this was summarily dismissed by the Adafruit technician, asking if the serial switch was on. Really!!!. Lucky those that got it to work.
