Whetstone 1000/6000 Grit – OAKES Sharpening Stone

This is exactly what I expected. Arrived in perfect condition. I have used an oil stone for 40 years so this is my first whetstone. Very easy to use and just rinse with water afterwards. The silicone base is a good idea.

Cheap enough and sharpens my chisels in no time the rubber mat comes in very handy to stop it all moving

Lovely stone for the price. Be carefull not to knock it on edges else a chunk will come off. Advise is to take edges off on lapping glass.works as well as expensive ones

I bought this to sharpen my kitchen knife which had got damaged, the two grit sides were excellent in taking the knife back to original sharpness, so much so I started resharpening all the blades in the kitchen drawer! Great product, just take your time and the results will be excellent.

Managed to use it today. Sharpen My chisels in no time. Good product. Will see how how good is itover time. Very good ATM

Either buy a set of new knives for 5 6 times the price or have patience... This saved me a lot of money, definitely worth it!

Never used one of these before but put a fabulous edge on my leather skiving knife.
