Works great taste good

I've been searching for a chewable calcium for my toddler, who has a lot of food allergies and doesn't drink enough milk alternatives. Of the chewable tablets, I think this one tastes second best, but it has the best ratio of calcium to vitamin D. Unfortunately, my toddler still doesn't like the chalkiness, so I think calcium gummies are best for kids.For comparison, here are the other calcium chewables I've tried.ShinyLeaf Bariatric Calcium Citrate - 2 tablets, 600 mg calcium, 400 IU vitamin D, 120 mg magnesium. This one is the chalkiest of all of them. The taste is okay, but it's so chalky and crumbly that it's really hard to finish -- bleh.BariMelts Calcium - 2 tablets, 500 mg calcium, 1500 IU vitamin D, 120 mg magnesium. Best tasting tablet, even yummy, and it does melt in your mouth. Unfortunately, the amount of vitamin D is way too high for the amount of calcium that you get.BariSlim Calcium Citrate Chewable - 2 tablets, 500 mg calcium, 600 IU vitamin D, 100 mg magnesium. I hoped this would taste good since its cousin, BariMelts, was so yummy. Unfortunately, this one is hard and chalky and does not melt in your mouth. The taste is probably the worst, but the texture is not as chalky as the ShinyLeaf, so it's a tie for worst as far as edibility.*Bariatric fusion calcium citrate chewable tablet - 4 tablets, 1300 mg calcium, 800 IU vitamin D, 84 mg magnesium. If you halve the serving size, it's about equivalent to the other ones. Taste and chalkiness is better than the bottom two, and it has the best ratio of calcium to vitamin D so that you don't get vitamin D toxicity in order to get the full amount of calcium needed. I'll probably buy this for me and a gummy version for my kids.Hope this helps!

Edit: The flavor is much more tolerable if you let them sit in your mouth and dissolve for a few minutes rather than chewing on them straight away. It’s enough of an improvement that I’m adding a Star. I am undecided whether I will buy again. I may, because every thing else about them is what I wanted.Original Review:I have not had bariatric surgery but need to take large calcium supplements for other issues. I have trouble swallowing pills so I wanted something chewable, wanted calcium citrate for superior absorption, and didn't want a ton of other vitamins and minerals in it, since I take other supplements that I'm happy with for that. That's why I bought these, they have all the qualities I wanted. I was not put off by the negative reviews about the taste, every product on here, no matter how good, will have some absolutely unhinged reviews, I figured it was just people being unreasonable. But, NOPE! The flavor is a sharp citrus, reminiscent of orange and industrial de-greaser. It makes me wince like I'm eating the world's strongest tart candy, yet is ridiculously, chemically sweet tasting. It's like eating those horrible chalky Valentine's Day hearts, but 100 times drier and the flavor turned up to 11. I will attempt to finish the bottle because it's everything I wanted other than the taste but I'm not buying it again. I may try grinding these up and putting them in applesauce or yogurt to make them more palatable.

Dissolves easily, tastes fine, and my calcium levels are good after one month of using this product

Normally I read reviews before purchasing things but I didn’t for this item for some reason. And now I wish it had. I have to take calcium citrate due to having bariatric surgery and I wanted something different than the chews or another gigantic pill to swallow. I saw these chewables and I like orange so I figured they would be great. Okay, they’re not TERRIBLE but having to take 2 twice a day is quite plenty for me. Verrrry tart and I’m not a sour/tart candy fan at all, so I chew them as fast as I can and chase them down with water, yet I still have a nasty aftertaste. I am glad they’re easy to chew, they crumble easily, but that’s about the only positive I can come up with, so that’s why I am giving 2 stars. Thanks but won’t be purchasing again.

These are so gross, you have to do 4 a day and I just couldn't do it!
