It is easily the nicest keyboard I've ever owned (I've bought plenty of iterations from Razer, Logitech, etc.). I went with red switches and I love the feel. The lights are just beautiful; I am an RGB person but they are pretty understated with the solid keycaps and it's a nice effect. They keys have a lovely, creamy finish and it's just so satisfying to type on! I bought a couple of fun keycaps to switch out but I like the og keys so much that I'm going to wait a while. The keyboard is HEAVY!I am not using the wireless functionality so I cannot speak to that, but there is a firmware update for the double key presses some other people have complained about. I was a bit on the fence about buying this because of those reviews, but I'm glad I went with this one. I haven't had any issues.

It is excellent

This keyboard is excellent. It has a lot of dampening foam in it, and I mean a lot. This makes the keyboard have a deep thocky sound profile if you combine it with the right switches (I put the Gateron Milky Yellow's in it). The keycaps take some getting used to (KSA very tall profile), but they make the keyboard have a deeper sound. The stabilizers are excellent. I don't think I have ever heard and felt better stabilizers in a stock board. The overall build quality is also very premium. The keyboard feels very well made and hefty. Lastly, configuring the software for this keyboard is very easy. You just go to the website that Keychron provides you in the box and customize to your heart's content. No programs running in the background, no downloading software that doesn't work. This keyboard is on the expensive side, but you are paying a premium price for a premium product. If you are in the market for a premium custom keyboard, then look no further.

I ordered a new Keychron Q1 Max Keyboard with Gateron Red Switches from the Keychron Store. The delivery showed up on time (same day), but you can imagine my surprise and anger when I opened what appeared to be a brand new box and plastic wrapping only to find a used, dirty EPOMAKER TH80 keyboard inside (in addition to the fact that all the accessories were missing). I don't know whether to blame Amazon or Keychron, but this is either a case of horrible quality control, or outright fraud. Hence the one star review.I immediately called Amazon support, and was pleasantly surprised with the representative's extremely helpful response. I asked for a replacement, which they immediately shipped. The replacement, which arrived in a new box (shrink-wrapped this time) was exactly what I expected -- high quality build, responsive keys, and excellent documentation. I would give the second one a five star review.

I truly believe this is one of the best value mechanical keyboards available. I've been using this keyboard for about 2 months now and have absolutely no complaints. I had no idea that the keyboard case was made of aluminum which is fantastic. Previously, I used a mechanical board with Gateron brown switches and much prefer these banana switches. The keycaps included with the keyboard are also great! I just wish they let the backlight shine through a bit more.

There is little else out there that ticks as many boxes as the Keychron Q max boards. The construction is solid and feels premium. The switches and keycaps are only okay, but they are not the selling point of this board IMO. There do exist more premium keyboards (at higher prices), but they don't have wireless, certainly not a reliable one. If you need a zero glitch wireless keyboard that feels premium, right now this is pretty much it.You can invest in premium switches and keycaps and get a fantastic keyboard (I opted for Boba U4t 67g plus Mode Anthracite).

I was excited to finally try out t he keychron keyboard. Everybody raves about them. My keyboard arrived and the space bar key registers twice when I hit enter. I tried working with customer support but instead of just replacing it with a working model, they ask me to change the switches, send a video of the problem, update the firmware. I've done all of these things and continue to have the problem. There is even a reddit post with many people commenting on the same issue. I expected to have my product replaced without jumping through all these hoops. I won't be purchasing or recommending another keychron product in the future.
