Appears to be well made. Latch resists closing so slam it a bit or add Never Seize.Couple of tips. Ha a flat plate installed that is removed by rotating counter clockwise five degrees and wiggling it off. Using wood mounts, you'll need about 3/4 inch gap to accommodate the side mount feature. The Spring return needs a 1/2 hole drilled all the way through. The set screw on the small ferrule is hard to get on through the spring. Some screws are for a metal fence, some for wood. Be sure the pull wire hole is centered on the latch when in place, about 3/4 inch from edge.

Bought 2 for 2 sliding doors last August 2024. One broke today (May 6, 2025) as it no longer locks & the rod is bent. I don't expect the other to last much longer. Poor quality!

You cannot have this key made locally. With a set of good files and a little bit of time you could probably make your own.
