I Am Not a Gamer
I should start out by saying I'm not a gamer. I was born in 1976 and remember playing Atari as a kid. I never had a Nintendo, Sega, or any of the Play Station/X-Box machines. My gaming experience was mainly on a 2600 and C64.I found some old games at my parents' house and ordered one of the new 7200 consoles that play the 2600 and 7200 games, which is excellent.I don't like the odd control of the 7200 and was thrilled to find this. It is slightly lower quality than the old joysticks, which I assume were made in the USA or Japan, but it is wireless, which would have blown my mind in the 1980s.This ups the nostalgia for me. I hope this works with a C64, as I used to use it with that as well.

Emulators! For Those Buying For PC/MAC
First of all, YES you can play paddle games on Mac/PC, but it requires some EASY tinkering in Stella.Yes, it looks almost like the original and build quality, it’s good but wouldn’t say as good as Nintendo Switch Online SNES/Sega/Famicom etc. Rubber on stick is too thin… but I was born in 1988 and don’t really care about any of that but it’s useful for Atari users to know if buying for an actual Atari.I bought this to use on Nintendo Switch, Mac OS, and Wii using 8bitDo adaptors. Well it doesn’t work for switch or Wii.. and switch won’t even recognize the USB attachment that comes with the joystick. I tried the joystick on switch using the included adaptor and an 8bitDo. It DOES however work BEAUTIFULLY on Mac OSX.Make sure you use a keyboard for console reset and game select using the application Stella with the PC USB attachment synced to your controller.Lower the sensitivity to paddles to 30% in settings. After assigning the buttons to your joystick, head to “paddles” in Stella. paddle A, just assign left and right on your joystick, then Paddle B assign joystick Up/Down for games like video Olympics.Every time you play a game, it will switch from paddle to joystick automatically vice versa. I’ve played kaboom for hours no problem using a joystick.Set your TV to gaming mode!!!

Good controller, oversized dongles
Controller feels good, but dust sticks easily to the rubber on the joystick. When connected i didn't notice any detrimental delay. The dongles are too large. They don't fit in my Atari 65XE's controller port, therefore i can't test Atari compatibility. But USB dongle works fine.

Works perfectly with a real Atari 2600!
Works perfectly with a real Atari 2600! I have it connected with the included adapter to my 6 switch Sears variation of the Atari 2600 and I don't even notice any lag.

Great joystick!
Love this joystick! It works with a dongle and gives you a great wireless experience. Takes away a little from the nostalgia, but this short cords were a pain anyway.

Stiffness joke goes here
Worked all right but good grief is the "spring" mechanism stiff. Probably won't be passing down the early years of gaming with this thing until they're like six and can death grip the base and stick at the same time. If it ran on eight D batteries then maybe the weight of the base would help but its surprisingly light. We returned it.

Close to original 2600 Joystick with great wireless capability
This controller feels to me fairly close to the original Joystick as it's stiffer especially compared to the Atari Classic Wireless Controller (which works and has more buttons, but Joystick is pretty loose and slippery since it can be used as a paddle controller as well). It only has 1 button like the original so be aware in case you need more buttons. Tested on PC & Atari 2600+. I also got it to work with C64 mini however this requires changing controller DB which isn't straightforward, but it can be done (id is 030000006a0e00001140000011010000).It can be used both wired and wirelessly with dongle. I didn't notice lag with 2600+. I did find sometimes that when I haven't used it in a while and start it up, it will constantly trigger fire button. Unplugging/plugging dongle fixes that again.
