This has been a game-changer for my daughter. She’s struggled with reading, but this pen talks to her and helps her read the words, which makes such a difference. It’s amazing to see how much she’s improved and, more importantly, how much confidence she’s gained. Highly recommend for kids who need extra reading support!

I purchased this pen for family member that is dyslexic and does not read well. I was hoping with this pin it would be easier for reading things. This pen just made it way more harder! The pen does not read single words if you're just struggling with one word and you're trying to use the pen to help you it reads the word plus the next three letters of the word preceding it and mixes it together into a lingual mess I would not recommend this pin to anyone with reading difficulties. I went to start a return just to find out this huge message appears telling me that I may or may not get any of my money back I could get 50% back but I could get nothing and that they also charge restocking fees none of these things were disclosed when the pen was purchased as a Christmas gift so why would anyone return it to lose not only their $100 but lose the item as well makes no sense Amazon is making changes that's going to cause it to lose a whole lot of customers they didn't use to give you a problem with returns now all of a sudden it's a problem so I'm out $100 and I have a pen that's not worth $5. Do not waste your time or money on it.

I like how easy to use and the fast reading and translation of the device. It's worth every penny you pay for it

I love the delivery it was fast

This device was fairly easy to set up and use. The instructions are okay. It is fun and accurate. Great way to refresh familiarity with a language or to practice. It is about the size of a cell phone, making it ideal for travel. It functions online and offline too. Great little tool.

I tested this with Japanese and English.When you first turn it on, you need to connect to wifi, and by default the translator requires a network connection.It has two buttons on the touch screen, a red and blue microphone, each which corresponds to a language. Simply push the colored button that matches the language you'll speak and it will translate to the opposite language.To get it to connect to wifi, I had to turn on something called "Agent mode" which isn't really explained well, but it says to do in the manual if it's not connecting.The translations work well, and it's a fun way to practice Japanese. I can speak to the device and see if I get the correct meaning back in English. Seems to work.To use offline mode, you have to goto the offline content menu and download the language pack. The Japanese one was about 100mb, so not too big.Then you can use the separate offline translation mode, which works the same as normal, but it is under a different screen. I noticed it comes up with slightly different translations, and it says numbers wrong. See the screenshot I attached, numbers are spoken with some computer code near them.You can still understand it, but it is a bug.Overall, it works nice, and the device feels good. It's easier to grab a dedicated device, instead of open an app, and it's more private to share a device instead of a whole phone with people.One downside, is that it takes about 37 seconds to boot from being off, so make sure it's powered on before you need it. By default, it turns off after 30 minutes idle, but you can configure that, so it stays on longer.Neat device.

This is a super user friendly translator! I grabbed this to help me brush up on my French skills. My two kids actually pulled this out of the box, set it up, and figured out how it worked without instructions, and then proceeded to show ME how it worked! It works so well and is so efficient! It really is a must have if you’re not fluent or not quite comfortable with the language of the country you’re visiting. It’s small and easy to carry, and just so convenient.
