I wasn't sure what to expect. These were actually better than I expected, and I would buy again, but not for my everyday protein bar. For the price and the amount of protein, they were good but not my favorite.

If you like the flavor of dates or date sugar, you will probably like these chocolate bars quite a bit. I thought they had a very pleasant flavor and texture. They are kind of pricey but overall are a good option if you are looking for a vegan chocolate bar.

I had high hopes for these bars, especially given the price. They are not bad, but they are not great. They taste more like dates than anything else, and the dates overpower any chocolate taste. So if you really love your chocolate fudge to taste like dates, than this is for you. But for me, I want my chocolate to taste like chocolate. For now - will stick to making my own date bark using dates, peanut butter, and chocolate. (look online for videos - its delicious).

From what I'm gathering, the 29 grams of sugar are all from the dates? If so, that is a good thing. However, despite 29 grams of sugar, I find this to not be all that sweet, the flavor is actually on the milder side. Overall it's not bad tasting at all and a decent snack.

These bars are a bit on the drier side. It may be better once heated up.
