To be fair this isn't a Ryobi, dewalt, Milwaukee or any other big box store kind, but this is for someone who needs it for simple tasks that doesn’t require a ton of power. I couldn't see in the back real well but it appeared to be a small dc motor with a fan. I've been using it quite a bit and haven't had any issues with it. I appreciate the price because it comes with 2 batteries. Like I said above light duty is what you would want this for. Battery life seems good so far but I haven't used it for extended periods of time. Good example would be blowing off a driveway or sidewalks after mowing.

With two fully charged batteries operating on high. You get about 30min of work. But the batteries charge fast.

This leaf blower has been an amazing experience, it makes cleaning faster and I love how efficient and fun it is to use, it is light and easy to carry, the batteries are also amazing they last a long time and come with a power indicator so you always know when it's time to recharge them. This portable blower is a very handy and lightweight item that you could use to blow any leaves in the patio in which I used it today specifically to get all the extra summer leaves that was overwhelming.
