Q: I am looking for something that will also help provide a little "boost" to my chair at work as am I a very short man, will this add height?

Agree with others. Not a lot of height. Mine compresses quite a bit but does feel like I’m boosted ever so slightly. Not enough to make a huge difference. I am a big guy though so a lighter person may get a little more height out of it

Q: Is this chair pad suitable for heavy people?

I’m a big guy, 6”6’ and 265lb and it has help my tailbone pain quite a bit. It does compress considerably but seems to offer just enough cushion that it helps. Always bounces back to shape when I get up too
