Tools are great...2 battery packs were dead

I got this for a gift from my wife for Christmas in 2024 and when I went to go use it the batteries were bad. I have tried to get it replaced from black and decker but they say the warranty is only good if the battery has a date no later than 2 years old even though it was purchased in the last few months. It is not worth the money if the batteries do not work and you cannot use the product at all and have to buy new batteries. They did replace the batteries and are shipping new ones but I only have this 4 stars because the hassle of having to go to the support and going through that process should not be needed for a “new” product that is purchased.

Fast shipping and was double boxed.I bought this model because I like the design of the drill and the way it fits in my hand.Circular saw cut through 2x4's with no problems. I have not tried the reciprocal saw yet, or the light.Yes, this is not a tool set for framers, but for my light duty work around the house, I am very pleased.

I received an order for a 4-Tool Cordless Power Tool Set (Ordered on November 30, 2024) and neither of the two batteries worked. I contacted Amazon and they said they would send a replacement (full order intact) and upon receipt I would return the original shipment. This happened and today (December 10, 2024) I received the replacement and unfortunately, I received two more unusable batteries. Each shipment (four batteries total) had batteries that flashed red lights and according to Black and Decker (and batteries I have used in the past) the flashing lights should be green and then turn to solid green.I contacted Black and Decker and they confirmed (by the numbers on the batteries that they are indeed bad batteries.)UPDATE: Black and Decker did a great job and replaced the defective batteries with two new batteries that charged as needed and are fully functional.
