Great gift for an artist
I bought this for my sister, who has been painting and sketching for about 20 years. She never thought about incorporating a Spirograph, but she loves this and is using it to create borders and frames. I looked at the many Spirograph products and packages, and decided that this offered the best bang-for-buck versatility.

The markers were dried up and unusable, as was the "putty" for holding the pieces in place while drawing. So basically the only usable part of the kit are the plastic circles and rings. I would suggest looking for a kit with just the circles and rings and use your own markers, paper and adhesive, it might be cheaper. Other than this Spirograph is a blast to play with!!
