This was the correct battery for my old Dell computer. I plugged it in and it worked fine. I gave it a 3 for battery life because I have no idea how long it will last. I don't generally use that computer on battery only. But I do think I'll give it a try maybe taking in back to the patio in the morning when I have coffee and see how it works just on the battery.

So Amazon and this replacement battery saved my presentation! Yesterday, I went to turn on my computer to work on an important presentation for work that I have to give on Thursday only to find that the battery on my 8 year old Dell Inspiron N7010 was dead. I ordered this replacement battery on my cell phone from Amazon prime and it arrived in one day (today) in plenty of time for me to work on my presentation and be able to present on my laptop on Thursday. I don't know what the battery life is on this but for the price and the fact that it not only came the next day but worked right out of the box and was a work lifesaver, it deserves 5 stars. I did try to order a much more expensive battery replacement from a brick and mortar store but they told me it would take 2 weeks for it to arrive from California and it was $137. Granted, it is probably a better battery and will probably last longer than this inexpensive one from Amazon but right now, this inexpensive baby is doing the job!I will update again with a status on battery life. I'm curious myself as to how long this battery will last.

In past years, even Dell sent me the incorrect replacement battery on two seperate occassions. Product advertised at 11.1V and 48 Wh.What I actually got: 11.1V and 57 Wh.Even the item barcode sticker[which covers what appears to be the original sticker]states 48 Wh; however, the battery itself is stamped with 57 Wh.Also the product was likely somebody else's return:Got this battery at 31% capacity,in un-sealed bubble-wrap,and loosely sliding around in product box.
